I don't know why I remembered that after all those year Andy. It was one of the one's (another being 'Shakin All Over) that was not really in place in a Mod club, but was defintely played by wee Colin. I think he liked to play unusual records sometimes, even if they were never going to become Mod classics. At least he never played Brian Poodle and the Tremblers Li Li !

The very same one Lammy, from way back in 1962. I will have to listen to it again but I am sure there is a bit in it telling Rosina they are selling greenshield stamps somewhere, followed by the na's Li Li !

I personally think that you and the Shugster should have given me a round of applause for getting the two cups of tea up all those stairs without spilling a drop. I also have to say that I am partial to a wee Orange Club (and no, I won't make any football jokes) and a Breakaway, which is also a great Northern Soul song by The Valentines which has 'Keep the Faith'in it. How was that for some useless information.

Its close but I think Charlie just shades it due to the fact the tea was still warm by the time it reached me haha but in your defence, you did however have my two favourite biscuits Breakaway and Orange Club.

If he keeps this up Charlie it may lead to him being able to pay for all these expensive records that he has. The fee for fixing my turntable was two cups of tea and two biscuits (chocolate) so I am not sure who got the best deal Li Li ! I may even but him a beer as a thank you, if he comes into the TW on saturday night.

I was just out doing the rounds of some second hand shops (with some success) and came across a record that was amazingly played at the Scene Club. Does anyone remember Pat Boone's 'Speedy Gonzales' being played. It was certainly not in the same league as 'Mickey's Monkey' or 'First I Look at the Purse' but it was unusual.

Definitely recall 'Paint it Black' being a big favourite. But I also must have been powdering my nose (no drugs talk here Lammy) when 'Around and Around' came on. There was also a great Stones song that was played regularly that I never found out the name of. It had a great intro that Beck totally ripped off for 'Devils Haircut' so if anyone can enlighten me to its name I would be forever grateful.

Another Scene Club tune "Around and Around" by The Rolling Stones oh aye "Paint It Black" also, some of my best party memories was while The Rolling Stones were being played, strange as I am not overtly keen on them.

There was another track on the LP which I think was called 'Lovin.' It was one of the other stand out tracks as far as I remember; very good.

That sort of music is usually not really my cup of tea, but there are a few brilliant tracks from that late 60s acid period.

Thats the very chappie NG. Someone used to have an Electric Prunes LP, and it had a lot of other great tracks on it apart from 'I had too Much to Dream Last Night.' I still have it on a CD, and obviously on my ipod.

Cheers mate for adding that excellent song that evokes such fantastic memories of our tea total Scene Club days.

That would be great NG, as it was undoubtedly one of the Scene Club classics despite its Mod credentials being more than questionable. Okay it is not questionable at all, it is an out and out piece of 60s acid psychedelia smith.
