  • N.G. MODS · 1 year ago
Well done Charlie in getting your first post up, takes the pressure of myself haha nice wee catchy powerpop song though
  • Charlie · 1 year ago
It's taken a while, as I have done more mileage than than British Airways on foot! More to come, thanks, all the best, hope Jim and Drummy get a smile out of it, cheers boys!
  • Janny · 1 year ago
Ah, the days before sticking phone numbers straight into your mobile - class! And as for the jags, I remember buying trainers in a shop Birmingham and as soon as they heard my accent being asked if I supported Rangers or Celtic, I replied Partick Thistle and was asked "Who?"
  • Charlie · 1 year ago
Raymie has "discovered" a rare unreleased "Womens World" by The Jags on a 45, I will ask him to record the vinyl for website, haven't heard this song myself, so I am looking forward to that, well done Raymie.
  • Charlie · 1 year ago
Nice bit of music for a Sunday morning, a lot of good times attached to these tunes. Glad I got a chance to get this posted for Jim and Drummy, you can't put a price on friendship, all the best to you'se both.
  • magicalex · 1 year ago
Many thanks for posting this. It might come as a bit of a surprise to you to find out that one of those Jags was from your own home town of Glasgow (and a bit of a Mod too). Since you seem to think we were all Londoners, I feel it my duty to set the record straight. My name is Alex Baird. I played drums with the Jags. That's my tub thumping you're listening to. I was born in Rutherglen, played in several "Glasgow" bands in the early seventies including "Stumble" (with Midge Ure on vocals) and "Contraband" (folk rock band). Contraband signed to a London record company who moved us down there. That's where I met up with the Jags. I do feel a certain empathy with Mods since The Who are my favourite band. I've seen them many many times since 1969 (eight times on the last tour alone). Thanks again. So glad you like the music. All the best to you Glasgow Mods from this Glasgow Jag!
  • N.G. MODS · 1 year ago
Thanks for the information Alex, always nice to find out something new, you have Uncle Charlie to thank for this.

On a side note, it was common at a lot of gigs at that time to hear the crowd starting to shout "We Are The Mods" I know this happened with The Vapors, did it happen to yourselfs ? or any of your gigs ended quickly due to a crowd riot ?

Feel free to share your memories.....
  • Charlie · 1 year ago
So I was right your name is Alex Baird St, Glesga Division?Ho ho!! Thanks for
contacting us, I am sure Drummy and Jim Nairn will be chuffed to bits, to hear
a Glasgow Jag has been in contact. If you have any photos of the band, we would be more than happy to add them contact admin@glasgowmods.co.uk.
A million thanks for contacting us Alex, we appreciate the info, brilliant!!
  • magicalex · 1 year ago
Yes, I suppose I am form the "Glesga' Division". I e-mailed you some dodgy old Jags pics. Hope they arrived OK. The Jags following at the time was fairly mixed, from teenyboppers to punks to mods, and yes I seem to remember a brief "We are the Mods" chant at one of out Marquee gigs but I've heard it PROPERLY at a lot of Who gigs. Never had a crowd riot end a gig for us but we did end up fighting the audience in Atlanta (USA). It wasn't nice!
Thanks again for the post and the nice comments.
    All the best.
  • Charlie · 1 year ago
Thanks Alex for sharing your memories with us, Jimmy will add the
photos in due course. Are you and the rest of the boys still in touch?
Do you think there is a possibility of you and boys getting together
again, maybe going back on the road?

I would be interested to know of any future developments
if thats okay with you, all the best Alex.
  • magicalex · 1 year ago
Yes Charlie. We're still in touch, but not very often as we all have different lives these days. There's about as much chance of us getting back together as Saddam Hussein returning from the grave to become president of the USA. Nice thought but all I can offer is some live "Old Grey Whistle Test" footage of the band (as I'm sure you'd prefer to remember us) on YouTube. It's easy to find.
    Cheers.
  • Charlie · 1 year ago
Briliant, I wll check it out Alex, you never know what life has
in store, looking back we never got a chance to see how much
potential The Jags had to offer, I believe, you'se had more hits
still to come. Loads more, thats me being honest.

You'se have talent, there's no denying that, put your
differences aside, and get stuck in. I never thought I
would meet anyone from away back in the early Mod
days a chance meeting with Jimmy, April, Welchy and
Rab, voila!! Now thanks to Jimmys time and effort, here
I am chattng with one of my fave bands Drummer, magic!

All the Mods I know would say the same thing, we're
are the Mods!! Same as you and the boys, get a few
beers down your necks get in a circle and shout, we
are The Jags!! cause that who you'se are.

I still say "Back Of My Hand" should be Firhills Anthem
    time to put things right!!!
  • magicalex · 1 year ago
Much as I appreciate your very flattering comments Charlie, I can't ever see us Jags getting "stuck in" as it were. It's not that we have differences, just that our individual lives are on very different paths nowadays. It's a nice thought but completely impractical, even disregarding the financial aspect.

Thanks again for your interest in the band and all those really nice comments.
You've managed to produce a very interesting and informative website here. Excellent stuff. Long live the Mods!
  • JimmyTheMod · 1 year ago
Magic, thanks for your kind words, its been hard work putting all the technology and content together. Charlie has provided his research and expert knowledge on the sixties, he has an amazing record collection...... Its encouraging to know that we are doing something right.
  • N.G. MODS · 1 year ago
magicalex you still in the music business ? we could get Charlie to promote you !
  • Charlie · 1 year ago
Meant to ask you Alex, what is the inspiration behind "Back Of My Hand"
and "Party Games"? I have alway been fascinated by the true lyrics
behind songs. I read a couple of years ago a line from "When The Musics Over"
by The Doors" I want to hear the scream of the butterfly"

Was actually the name of a "porn flick" Jim Morrison noticed (or probably seen)
on his way to the studio to record the song and he was stuck for lyrics, and
he improvised the remainder of the song. Everyone was complementing
his Poetic lyrics on the song not realising his sense of humour.

He had the last laugh there,eh? Not suggesting for a moment your song
was named after such a "movie" Alex, but I would be interested to know
a bit of insight to the songs mentioned, cheers!
  • magicalex · 1 year ago
I've been out of the pop scene for a long time. Spent twelve years as a Design & Technology teacher in secondary school in London. For the past seven years or so I've been working as a drum teacher for the London Borough of Harrow. I go round schools teaching kids how to play drums. It keeps me VERY busy ....and now that the hols are over, I won't have so much time to sit in front of the computer so I apologise if I take ages to reply to your posts. I do play in a wee covers band at the weekends. Pubs, clubs, weddings, etc.

As for the songs, to be perfectly honest, I don't know where the inspiration came from. Back of My Hand is pretty much self explanatory about a bloke who's being stressed out by his girlfriend's behaviour. The line "I had a dream I met another girl but in the morning she was just a kick inside" refers to Nick (who wrote it) having a raunchy dream about Kate Bush (her album was called "The Kick Inside"). There's a line in Party Games about an "Island in the sun" which, I think, refers to Island Records and the "typewriters crackle through a morning haze of TV blue" is (according to Nick, if I remember correctly) about the staff at Island trying to work through hangovers after a party which went on until very late. The song is generally about that party which Nick attended and hated. Don't think we had any songs named after porn flicks. Alex Harvey had a song about a gangbang though! I wonder where THAT inspiration came from, eh?
  • Charlie · 1 year ago
A friend of mine Raymie has a 45 of "Women's World", I will
get a hold of it by the weekend, and get the single recorded
for you and the rest of the band, should stir up some good
    memories, I hope.

Appreciate the background info on the lyrics, brilliant to see
your are teaching Drumming in Harrow, believe the Alex Harvey
was a cover of Jacque Brels "Next" , ha ha! We know what thats
all about!!, To quote Ian Flemings most famous childrens classic
book "Chitty,Chitty Bang Bang" wonder if these 2 former soldiers
    frequented the same premises?

Then again, I wonder how many people knew Ian Fleming's
title came from the British Tommy's password for a visit to the
    French Brothels!!!

Cheers once again Alex, I will get the next Jags single up in
    due course. Take care.
  • magicalex · 1 year ago
I will view Chitty Chitty Bang Bang in a whole new light now! If their parents only knew......! Womans' World. Now there's a set of very un-PC lyrics. Shouldn't take too much effort to figure out what THAT's about, eh?

Thanks again Charlie, Jimmy, and the Glasgow mods.

    All the best.
  • Charlie · 1 year ago
Hi Alex Raymie has informed me the "Women's World" cover
has a series of pictures on it including Maggie Thatcher and
Farrah-Fawcett- Majors on it,so it will be interestng to hear
the single when, Raymie brings it over.

I will do a write up on the single, it would be most
interesting to hear your thoughts and views on the record.
Thanks for keeping in touch, all the best Alex,we are the Mods!!
  • N.G. MODS · 1 year ago
Why do I feel theres more work being thrown my way Mr Charles !

Magicalex did the band play in Scotland at all ? I reckon you may have a case here Charlie. I can just see Partick Thistle running out to these tunes, must be worth a couple of points in the bag.
  • Chris C · 1 year ago
Anything that can help Plastic Whistle must be worth a try. Even Taggart couldn't help that mob. And now they have a pink kit, very fetching.
  • N.G. MODS · 1 year ago
When their training session involves a jog along Maryhill Road, what chance do they have ?
  • Chris C · 1 year ago
I can just imagine all the arty Plastic fans shouting 'Come on yee Pinks.'
  • jackie · 1 year ago
Hey my oldest brother supports Partick Thistle!!!
  • jackie · 1 year ago
Have they really got a pink kit??
  • Chris C · 1 year ago
Yip Jackie. I am really not joking this time. No Li's or anything, they really have gone and got a pink kit. They will all look like the two old gay guys in 'Chewing the Fat' who loved the Glasgae banter.
  • Drummy · 1 year ago
Jackie the strip is mostly grey with a grey and pink whooped top (so your brother need not worry) spurs wanted it and for some reason puma turned them down, so its arguably a london fashion statement ha ha. it could be worse, it might of been green and white, blue or even all white of that gypsy scum clyde.
  • Drummy · 1 year ago

  • Charlie · 1 year ago
Well you know the old Glasgow saying, "Pink, pink, make the boys wink!"
How you doing Drummy? Are you going to The Twisted Wheel on Saturday
night? Quinny is on the decks, so hope to see you there if you are coming
    along, we are the Mods!!
  • Chris C · 1 year ago
Drummy, I thought Thistle fans were meant to be all friendly and full of humour. My wife's wee cousin came up the other day with that mad pink effort on, very fetching I have to say. What's the score with Clyde. (apart from them getting beat) Is there still a rivalry thing despite them playing in 'What's it Called.'

Anyway, this is meant to be a football (no sorry) Mod site, so I hope you are proud of what you have started here NG.
  • Drummy · 1 year ago
oh aye i forgot to add its the away strip, so the players should be safe, as its not going to be seen in maryhill.
  • Drummy · 1 year ago
sorry Chris, i must still be coming to terms with the pink number, as for clyde they dont get beaten enough and the gypsy name comes from the fact they dont own a ground. just a bit of banter (but not the chewin the fat type) i did get a lot of stick at work, the day after the two of them appeared on tele. (the rattling battling dandy old jags) i think the line went. lol
  • Chris C · 1 year ago
I'm not very keen on Clyde either if the truth be known Drummy. Any team that plays in Cumbernauld must be dodgy. The only good thing to come out of there was 'Gregory's Girl.' Or should I change that to Clare Grogan in 'Gregory's Girl' in particular.
  • N.G. MODS · 1 year ago
Charlie when we getting to hear this other record by The Jags ? is it as good as your making it out to be ?
  • Charlie · 1 year ago
Well its the first time I have heard the song, it should be up by the weekend
I will do a write up tomorrow night on the record, dedicate the song to The
Jags skinsman "Magic Alex" so if you are tuning in this weekend Alex, it
would be brilliant if you could give us a brief insight to the song as you are
playing on it,theres a cracking photo of you on the back cover with your
"Rock Star" shades on, cooolll. I like the song, so here goes, stay TOONed
    Folks, The Jags are back!!!!
  • N.G. MODS · 1 year ago
Thats great Charlie, look forward to hearing it when I come back from Austria on my weeks working holiday haha by the weekend you did say !!!
  • Camey · 1 year ago
Hello hello how do you do, we **** the boys in *******,We **** the boys in ********, So stuff the **** and stuff the *****!!!!!!!!!!! Wahey its the blah blah blah blah, N.G.E,,, WE CAME, WE SAW, AND WE CONQUERED EVERY rocker AND beatnick IN THE land! hallo THE N.G.E#1
  • Charlie · 1 year ago
Hi Camey we don't do football on the website, or mention religious backgrounds, we are Mods Camey so hope you don't mind if I get Jimmy to edit your comment in the morning, the website is worlwide, its about all of us
regardless of the aforementioned colours, take care Tin Souldier, we are the Mods!!!!
  • Chris C · 1 year ago
Quite right Charlie, we don't do football crap here. I have been told off for it about five times so it is only right that others are censored too. Anyway, what is the NGE Camey ? Is all this some sort of Partick Thistle thing ?
  • Camey · 1 year ago
No worries guys, its our old Thistle song against the evils of secterianism. I'd actually edited it to tone it down a little too lol, Drummy will know & remember the catchy little ditty with fondness & pride. I'll not even bother explaining to that Chris dude who the N.G.E are/were but rest assured we had a few good ex mods with us including Drummy & Davie fae Bishopriggs. Like i say guys iv no problem with the editing but i'd like to point out to that Chris fellow that we werent crap. W.E.M
  • Chris C · 1 year ago
Cool the jets Camey fellow, dude. I was only making fun of the situation. But then maybe I forgot to add my Li's, so for that I apologise. Anyway, since it was Partick Thistle you were referring to it should not have been edited for being about football Li Li !

PS Hope you take that as a joke this time mate.
  • N.G. MODS · 1 year ago
Anyway Mr Charles you started this football themed topic !!! I like The Jags music and I'm waiting to hear this other 45 that YOU will have posted up by the weekend.

Firhill for thrills, I like the wee cafe at Queens Cross, for a cup of tea and roll and sausage, no free advertising here !

Chris your on a yellow card haha, now whats your name Pike ? we already have Godfrey !!!!
  • Chris C · 1 year ago
My yellow card has been rescinded NG, you silly boy.

Anyway, how much is their rolls and sausage, and is it real butter they use instead of margarine ? Do they have a Mod friendly policy ?

Anyway MKII, When are we going to hear the next Jags (not middle class, non sectarian sports club) song.
  • Camey · 1 year ago
No worries Chris cheers ;) , Speaking of football and mods, does anyone remember when the Aberdeen casuals turned up at the barras? A group of about 7 of us (male+female) got bushwhacked outside the Hawaiian grill by hundreds of the blighters! We didnt know what hit us! We had never seen a casual firm before, They just appeared from the crowd, they WERE the crowd they were all around us and we didnt even notice them as our danger radars were only trained to spot skins or punks! Anyway, we got booted up and down the barras until mods started appearing from the direction of the One up and then it escalated into running battles up & down the trongate, The best part was when all the buses that were heading to Parkhead were packed with Celtic fans who disembarked from the buses to add to our numbers that were few. I dont recall them ever bothering us after that though so maybe they got the message, THE BARRAS BELONGED TO US... W.E.M
  • Camey · 1 year ago
Firhill for thrills & prozac pills that we needed to cope with the manic depression of supporting such an untalented team of persistant losers :)
  • MICHELLE · 1 year ago
Hi Camey, my old pal how'z you? hope your feeling better now
nice to see another WEM on the boards, take care pal
  • Chris C · 1 year ago
I read a football book years ago Camey, and a journalist who went 'native' with the Aberdeen casuals wrote about an incident that sounds very like the one you mention. Obviously as far as they were concerned they did this to the Mods, and that to the Celtic fans. But he did admit that in the end they were a bit overwhelmed and had to make a hasty retreat.

But you are right about no one knowing what these f...ers were all about. Crap jumpers, crap trousers, crap shoes, and crap haircuts looking for a fight.
  • N.G. MODS · 1 year ago
New to see you back Michelle, anybody would think you were showing off a new laptop here ? haha
  • N.G. MODS · 1 year ago
I've got a vauge memory of that incident Cammey, a running riot through through the Barras, I'm not sure if Charlie was holding his new born baby that day and it was all kicking off around the poor wee chap. Nobody said it was gonnae be dull !!

And as usual were was Glasgows finest that day, probably on a lunch break picking up a poor few loose stragglers !
  • MICHELLE · 1 year ago
Hiya NG, still trying tae work this thing, haha
  • Charlie · 1 year ago
Hi Chris, the book very "Harry Potter-ish" "overwhelmed" is a subtle
way of saying they go the s**t kicked out of them, the Celtic fans, the Carlton Tongs, about 5 stallholders included, piled ino the "Billy Connolly's" from
Aberdeen, from the Barras to Queen Street station, they got the fright of their lives, I got attacked while holdng my son, once he was "safe" they were not.

Anyway that was then this is now, 25 years is a long time, hope they
have all moved on since then, celebrate the moment, cause it could
all end in a heartbeat, let's just get some kicks before the whole s**thouse
goes up in flames! (Jim Morisson quote from '68)
  • Chris C · 1 year ago
I think you are spot on there Charlie with your fantasy analogy. I'v seen a few of these books and they (no matter what team) always come out on top even if they are outnumbered by 1,000 to 1. The reality is obviously totally different most of the time.

The book I was referring to talks about a group meeting in a bar listening to some good music as someone put UB40 on the jukebox. I nearly died of laughter. But I suppose that summed that lot up. Looked like shit, and listened to shit music. A bad combination for a bunch kid on hard men.
  • N.G. MODS · 1 year ago
Michelle hows this article of yours coming along ? It better be worth the wait !
  • N.G. MODS · 1 year ago
Chris you don't even need to read a book, just look at some of the patter on certain websites, theres enough material there for Big Arnie in another Hollywood Blockbuster !

Funny how the passage of time plays tricks on peoples mind, I'm sure Mr Charles said there was another tune by The Jags on the way haha
  • Danny · 1 year ago
I remember that one well Cammy. Some of us ended up running into Tropics Pub in Central Station and attacking them as well. There were teams of Mods outside once word had spread that they were in there.

They were running from the Barras all the way back to Central Station, however, some of them were slighty dazed and confused and ran in other directions only to meet more of Glasgows fine Mods coming to meet them.

I was working out of Aberdeen (Offshore) from 89 onwards and had to keep reminding the Aberdeen Casuals of the lies that their author, Jay Allen, had wrote in his book. His version had their Casuals battering Mods daft, well he did'nae want to tell the truth did he. On that subject, surely someone should be writing a book about our exploits, a best seller!!!

I remember another incident where the ICF came into the one up and we were well outnumbered, they all lined up on the back wall to sing F**k a Mod. Thing was i had just bought a scooter from one of them the night before in Clydebank.
  • Chris C · 1 year ago
I remember they used to hang around George Square. There was only about two dozen of them and they looked shocking. If they thought they looked good they must have been on something. Wee Gibby, who used to be a Mod was hanging out with them at the time, and I used to give him a lot of stick about hanging about with those wee arseholes going up to Daddy Warbuck's. Talk about going from class to clueless.
  • magicalex · 1 year ago
Sorry to butt in again and change the ongoing thread. Just here to answer a couple of Jags related questions (the band, not the team). Yes we did play Glasgow (in 1979 just before Back of My Hand charted). It was at Strathclyde Uni and we were supporting Simple Minds who, at the time were unknown outside Scotland.

Woman's World is a pretty misogynistic song really. A tongue in cheek comment on women's attitudes. Some of the words are as follows.... "It's a woman's world we live in, and a woman's world can't wait. It's a woman's world we live in, and a woman don't think straight!" and "They keep telling you they want to do this when they really mean that they want to to that. Every day telling you they want a new dress. Do this, do that. Do this, do that!" Sorry all you ladies. No offence intended. But you can take some consolation in the knowledge that our then female fans didn't buy it. The joke sorta' backfired!
Ah well. You live and learn, I suppose.

OK. Back to the barras and the running battle. Orrabest!
  • admin · 1 year ago
alex your welcome to butt in anytime pal, at least you can see your music isnae lost ......
  • stevie fae cranhill · 1 year ago
i used to have a red and white stripey jumper (just like my hero Chris C). Unfortunately i was wearing it on the day of Celtic v Aberdeen match - and i happened to be hanging around Queen Street station - some Celtic fans were discussing giving me a kickin' for being a Don. Fortunately, one of them must have been an ex-mod and recognised my attire was a fashion statement and nothing to do with the sheep worrying fiends...
  • Davie Blair · 1 year ago
Danny - i remember the day the casuals came in the one up.
It was a sunday afternoon - they all sat up at one end at the big window singing "we hate the mods, we hate the mods...".
Outnumbered big style - we all sat & took it. Either that it was a kickin.
Poor marcelo was sitting by the door - nearly every one of the casuals had a swipe at him on the way out.

Magicalex - i remember tapin your Jags song off top of the pops - tape recorder by the telly speaker. I think The Ruts song Babylons Burnin was on the same totp episode. Thats one of those one off memories you have as a kid - i was about twelve so no money for singles. Didnae start buyin records until i was about 14 wheni got my 1st part time job.

Kinda strange Davie, I was talking to Marcello on the phone earlier
on tonight, bizarre? He is doing fine and may make an appearance
at Friday Street, after his Salsa dancing with his Missus, see you
    next week Marcello!!
  • stevie fae cranhill · 1 year ago
i only wore that jumper once - i probably looked more like dennis the menace than an aberdeen casual. i actually wore a beret for about a week...we did have some crazy styles.

say hello to Marcello, Charlie - he was always a cool guy - of course he was always first to tell us that also!
  • stevie fae cranhill · 1 year ago
Your wee mate NG is obviously missing you Michelle!
  • Chris C · 1 year ago
Nice to hear that you played one of your gigs at the main Glasgow University magicalix, I'm sure it was as good as the many gigs I saw at Strathclyde. If it was a good enough venue for the best post 60s band (The Jam) it was good enough for anyone. Talking about The Jam, I noticed in the lyrics to 'Woman's World 'Do this, Do That' which is the same as 'Billy Hunt.' Even to day All Mod Cons is my all time favourite LP, was it a big influence on the Jags ?
  • Camey · 1 year ago
Hiya Michelle, do you still have your eternal bodyguard Sharon by your side ;) , Hope alls well with u young Michelle W.E.M
  • MICHELLE · 1 year ago
Camey I've not seen Sharon for years, I met her mum last year and she told me she went out one night and never came back, her mum & dad are heartbroken. she has a wee bhoy but he stays with his dad since sharon went A.W.O.L
  • stevie fae cranhill · 1 year ago
Michelle very sorry to hear about your pal Sharon going missing - she was a great girl - i remember she had us in her room listening to the Doors and Pink Floyd - that was enough to depress anybody! But I hope she has found happiness wherever she is.
  • N.G. MODS · 1 year ago
Magicalex are you sitting on any unreleased tracks by The Jags ? most bands from that period seem to have stuff that hasn't been released yet and it's only now that it's starting to surface ? Anything doing on the bootleg circuit regards The Jags live in concert ?
  • Camey · 1 year ago
Oops my bigmouth has struck again, Sorry to hear that Michelle and i hope she turns up soon, Shes maybe back home by now if it was a while ago u met her mum, lets hope so mate. Damn thats a bit of a shock to be honest.. Hey Stevie, you spent quite a lot of your time in darkened rooms with mod girls from what i can remember lol, Maybe Quinny will know if Sharons back or not? Lets hope so. W.E.M

Magicalex theres alot of good footage of The Jags on YouTube, what made you go for the twin bass drums ? not too sure about the Superman T-shirt, now the girlfriend has just confessed to buying a copy of "Back Of My Hand" when it came out, just caught her singing it !!!

I'll tell her to get her jacket..........haha

The Jags need to reunite and Tour. I was fortunate to see you once in San Fransisco back in the day. If you re unite you can all crash at my place...

I am loving the stuff on YouTube. Is there any more???

    Tommy
  • CharlieM · 11 months ago

Dear Glasgow Mods. Thanks loads to all concerned for being so complimentary about the band, and putting our tracks up on your site, and I'd I’m interested to know what's meant by Uncle Charlie having 'dusted' Party Games down. So, a couple of corrections if you don't mind. Just for once, someone could get my name right. It’s Alder not Adler. He was the harmonica player. Mind you, unless my sassenach brain is completely mince, I think it’s Partick Thistle, not Patrick! Londoners??! Shame on you. Yes we lived in London when we got the band together, but so did your fellow countryman Alex. Still does in fact. His address is.....(only joking Alex). No, Nick and I grew up in Scarborough, where we started playing music together around 13-14, ermm..I think. It’s a long time ago guys! In fact my Mum ran a guesthouse, and some of you could even have stayed there on holiday when you were kids. That would be weird. A point of interest is that my older brother was an original Mod in Scarborough, along with his mate Robert Palmer no less! On a techy note. Our tracks seem to be playing slow, and pitched down, which suggests that you’ve got a 44.1/48k sample rate mis-match somewhere down the line. I know about that shite. Unless you just prefer them that way.
    Love to all, John Alder

John thanks for the comments, its a miracle the tracks actually got up there given the folks that I have mentored the last year didnt even have a computer 12 months ago... I think the chappy who did them was just learning how to sample his vinyl...

    all the best...
